Atlas keeps ledgers, reports, contradictions, and records older than the Inventors.
Atlas is patient because the Archive has taught him that the House remembers more than it admits.
He records contradictions instead of smoothing them away. In Nox, a mistake can become a map if it is written clearly.
His burden is not only memory. It is deciding which truths must be carried forward.
