THE HOUSE
Overview
The House of Nox is a living hotel existing somewhere between worlds: between night and day, dream and waking, the places people leave behind, and the places they have not yet found.
To outsiders, it may appear to be an ordinary twelve-floor hotel with blinded windows. To those who cross its threshold, however, it becomes something far stranger.
Its hallways shift when no one is looking. Doors appear where walls once stood. Rooms rearrange themselves around the moods, memories, fears, and needs of their occupants. Signs flicker to life when spoken to, shadows gather in quiet corners, and windows may show skies belonging to worlds that should not exist.
The House listens.
It remembers.
It protects.
And sometimes, it judges.
The House does not appear to everyone. It often finds people caught between one part of their life and another: the lost, exhausted, frightened, curious, restless, forgotten, and those who have nowhere else to go.
A guest might discover it at the end of an abandoned road, through an elevator that opens onto the wrong floor, within a dream, behind a door that was not there yesterday, or during the silence after whispering that they cannot continue as they are.
The House offers refuge, but it is not harmless.
Some doors exist to comfort.
Others exist to contain.
